I am flying back from Nashville today and heading straight over to the Little Joy to DJ a Country set. Come join me for a drink and make fun of my Southern drawl that has inevitably creeped back out after years of California forcing it into submission! 10:30 pm ish on.

Slow Runner has given us not one, but two very special lists. First up, we have their "Top Five Reasons to Hammer Ice Picks Into Your Eardrums and Forgo the Privilege of Hearing." All I can say is... poor Reba McIntyre. BUT WAIT! Before you brutally ruin one of your senses forever, the Charleston, South Carolina band has also provided us with an anecdote: The "Top Five Reasons To Stop Yourself ...

Doc WatsonWe wandered over to downtown Bristol around noon and from that moment on we were literally planted in front of bands for about ten hours straight (and we still didn't get to see about half of the bands that we wanted to see). This festival really did pull in the cream of the bluegrass/classic country-esque crop and I just want to say thanks to Eric and all of the organizers for putti...

The Morning PagesWe arrived in Bristol yesterday afternoon and ran right over to the festival, which is held at all of the bars and restuarants along State Street in the downtown area (think of a mini version of SXSW and 6th Street). Crazy thing is one side of the street is Tennessee and the other side is Virginia. Check out the Morning Pages above straddling the state line. We got there just i...

I'm coming home! In just two hours, I will be headed towards the beautiful state of Tennessee. First on my agenda: East Tennessee for the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival, where I plan to see The Morning Pages, Langhorne Slim, Doc Watson, New Riders of the Purple Sage, etc...but more on that tomorrow. Then, it's over to that little town where I spent most of my formative years, Nashville, TN. ...

But...we finally succeeded! So, it is our distinct pleasure to finally present to you in it's entir...
