I'm really good about checking my email fairly frequently, my girl says I do it at an OCD rate. Today I neglected checking it until about 30 minutes ago, but was happily surprised to find two new remixes from Starks and Nacey (Nouveau Riche). They had been sitting there for the past two hours, so hopefully I can get this post up before everybody else catches on to how good this stuff is. Nace...

DJ Gero has put out a nice banger of a track on his latest compilation "Poyz Who Like Pirlz," and while I have yet to understand what a "Poy" or a "Pirl" is, the music is good and speaks over the cutesy terminology. My favorite French club producers, Kazey and Bulldog have gotten a hold of this song, and lit a serious fire underneath it. Lots of nice drum work and great selection on the break...

Back from my mini-vacation up in NYC. Lots of drinking, walking, record shopping, iced coffees, cigarettes, random tv shoots, subways, cheap hotels with scary bathrooms, $5 cans of beer, and numerous slices...It seems everybody up there is in a band, or produces, or raps, so I've got a lot of EPs and demos to check out, hopefully some good ones to share with you guys.In music news, Example has...

Couple things for your late Sunday night, early Monday morning. I've spent the majority of my evening re-educating myself on the Hip Hop mixtape scene, (DJ Vlad, DJ Clue, Kay Slay, A-Team) I'm NYC bound in the AM, and definitely plan on picking up some shit in the city while I'm there...I know you can get most of that stuff online now, but there's something nostalgic about buying a bootleg tap...

The Baltimore International Festival is this weekend...(I just found this out about 5 minutes ago) After looking at the lineup, I realized that the 70's Disco group, Heatwave is performing tomorrow night on the Poly High School Athletic Field at 8pm...(It's a pretty cool space, they should use it more often for concerts.) You may, or may not, remember them from such hits as "Boogie Nights" and...

So I've been pretty addicted to this weeks Essential Mix by Major Lazer. I figured I'd give "Hold The Line" a go, giving it yet another remix. I know it's been done to death, but it's a great track and I think I've given a different spin than most of the other DJs around. Hope you all agree, and thanks for the support....P.S. Big ups to Nacey for his second set of ears.Major Lazer - Hold The...

A few weeks ago I wrote about this really great band coming up out of Chicago, Blane Fonda. Tomorrow night, (Wednesday, July 29th) at 8pm Central Time, the band will be doing a live performance, via-internet, so everybody who doesn't live in Chicago can check them out. The guys will even answer a bunch of questions after the show. So if your interested head over to their website www.blanefon...

This is one of those tracks that starts out a bit strange, I'm not really into the vocal at the beginning. I was just about to press stop when it blows up at the 2 minute mark, turning into a nice peak-hour-frenzy-builder. It's nothing groundbreaking, but still a pretty fun Basshunter track, remixed by Hot Pink DeLorean.Basshunter - Every Morning (Hot Pink DeLorean Remix) (ZS)

A couple days ago, I received a strange email from the soundcloud account that I rarely check. The message said that I would run out of shampoo and upset a bunch of panda bears if I didn't listen to this guys music. I was a little put off by the tone of the message, and the fact that there was no music attached to it, meaning, I would have to click my way across cyberspace to track this guys s...

Streetlab has been making quite a bit of noise lately. With tracks popping up on television and a slot at this years Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival these guys look like an artist to definitely keep an eye and some ears on. They've also produced a free Bootleg remix LP, that can be picked up here. To top things off they've taken that LP and turned it into a mixtape, which I will share wit...

I'll be upfront. I'm not really the biggest fan of dub-step. I kinda got into it a couple years back, when I got my hands on a couple records from Skream and a few of those Tempa compilations. It was after I reading an article in Fader, or somewhere, about this new music coming out of the UK, a blend of UK Garage/Dancehall/Drum and Bass...and it intrigued me. At first I was into it...Someth...

I've got some downtempo hip hop sounds for you guys this morning from Los Angeles based artist, The Gaslamp Killer. It's got this ethereal, outer-space sound to it, perfect for a chill....but not too chill...DJ set. He's got an EP set for release on August 4th off of Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder imprint, and from what I've heard so far it's going to be some very interesting stuff. The Gaslamp Ki...

I've been procrastinating all the shit that I really need to get done today. Instead I decided to be semi-productive by sitting down in my cave and busting out a couple of tracks. Here's some shit I did this morning, nothing special, just my version of a Pastor Troy track I've been digging on recently. No gimmicks really, just some straight club music. Enjoy!.....and no worries, I've got lot...
