I grew up listening to old "Tom Lehrer":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Lehrer records that belonged to my parents. He was a mathematician, musician, comedian and political satarist. He wrote for the Electric Company (Silent E, N-apostrophy-T) and for grownups (The Masochismn Tango, Lobachevsky, and one of my all time favorites, I'm Spending Hanukka in Santa Monica). I loved the puns, wit, intelligence and silliness in his music when I was a kid. Now, years later, I have his old office at a university in Cambridge (there _is_ more than one, remember).Today I came across "this":http://www.privatehand.com/flash/elements.html animation. I memorized and performed this tune for extra credit in my chemistry class in high school. Hey, I _said_ nerdiness!
