Less than 48 hours ago, Mercury Rev's "Butterfly's Wing " took us on a psychedelic trek through a Japanese landscape stocked with rice paper boats and jellyfish, twisty tree branches, dragonflies, kindly whales, and flower pedal rainstorms. Following that Japanese theme -- at least in name -- Fujiya & Miyagi have offered up a remix of Snowflake Midnight 's bombastic first single "Senses On Fire ." In this more Zen take, the percussion's given the F&M treatment, the vocals are turned down a dozen notches, and it's difficult imagining Jonathan Donahue pumping his arms in the air.
