[MP3] Amy Millan - I Will Follow You Into The Dark

I'm pretty stoked about Amy Millan's next solo release Masters of the Burial which will feature Feist for enough female vocal power to make any indie man-fan more than weak at the knees. Not only does Millan enjoy contrasting her sweet vocals with bereaved album titles, she also puts her pipes to use covering Death Cab's grimly affectionate "I Will Follow You Into The Dark". The track displays Millan's pleasant style of twangy, folk music that surely helps in showcasing her voice beyond the shadow of indie pop.
[MP3] Xavier Rudd - Let It Be (Live)

Xavier Rudd, as I tend to reiterate, remains one of my favorite live acts to watch - so if you live on the West Coast you should really check him out. For a man that jams out so much, whilst playing three different instruments, it should come as no surprise he delivers great covers. A few years back Rudd did a fine live cover of The Beatles "Let It Be", somewhat humorous considering his hit track is titled "Let Me Be".
[MP3] Harlem Shakes - Y Control

After enjoying the hell out of Harlem Shakes latest LP Technicolor Health, I've been delving into their back catalogue to see what other gems I may have missed out in the past. While piddling around the web I came across a bare bones cover of Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Y Control" - a song that thrives off of contagious energy. The Shakes break the song down into a simpler sound but make sure to include some funky synth toward the end.
