The video for No Age's "Eraser" premiered on MTV, which makes no sense at all unless you know that Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz was hosting. The video for No Age's "Keechie"-- also from the Los Angeles duo's debut album, Nouns-- premiered on the internet, which makes quite a bit more sense. Even if you think these guys are 1990s indie-rock throwbacks, they couldn't have debuted a video in a paper-and-ink zine, now, could they?
"Keechie" finds No Age in ambient mode, trebly repetitions drifting away in an angelic haze. The Andy Bruntel-directed clip, made up of leftover material from the shoot for the more traditionally punk-descended "Eraser", is tranquil, plastic-bag-floating-among-the-leaves fare, with, like, fishing and natural beauty and laundry and skeleton children instead of performance shots and No Age running around like crazy vegan kids. Peachy, "Keechie". Woozle wuzzle.
