Moozic says: The Barkays, the famous Stax recording r & b combo, nearly perished in the same plane crash that claimed Otis Redding. But a few survivors, amazingly, not only regrouped but prospered, evolving into a popular funk ensemble over the course of the '70s and on through the 80's and beyond. Their release of The Real Thing in 2003 proved that the Barkays have a thing for longevity. So listen to the song, y'all.
