Louisiana Man by Doug Kershaw

Pizza Lover 69 says: Acadian fiddler, "Ragin' Cajun" and bona fide weirdo Doug Kershaw offers a swamp story-song kinda like Clarence Carter's "Patches" without the swelling choruses but including damn near identical deep soul backup singers. An excellent introduction to Kershaw for the uninitiated, "Louisiana Man" sets your mind wandering through the tangled bayous and more than once you get the feeling Kershaw doesn't exactly know what he's talking about. Folks familiar with Red Sovine's bizarre story song, "Little Rosa" will want to check this out.
