-NYMag has a series of Brooklyn-centric articles in the latest issue: an overview of the scene, their five favorite bloggers, the top 40 of Brooklyn, interviews with DJ/Rupture and MGMT and the "Sonic Thrillseeker's" guide to Bk, complete with map (I know NYMag has kept things relatively hip, what with their Gossip Girl reviews and hiring Will Leitch away from Deadspin, but this is a sign that Bk is jumping the shark, no?)

-The AV Club interviewed Glen Hansard-Hear Crooked Vulture's debut here-Album news: Hot Chip's One Life Stand is out on February 8 and Animal Collective's Fall Be Kind is out November 23 (digital)/December 14 (CD/12")-Gorillaz are working with Alan Moore (of Watchmen and V for Vendetta fame)-NPR's Carrie Brownstein is helping them recap the decade: I'm just liking to her blog directly, as she's been constantly updating with interesting stuff
