Sorry we're not quite as quick and nimble as some of our online brethren, but we do our best. All photos by Dave Donovan Evans, MOKB Staff Photographer. You can see the entire photoset from MOKB's Lollapalooza Day One at his flickr.

Greg's Quick Recap of Day One: I arrived in Chicago Early Friday morning, but not before getting the festival weekend started off right with a sold-out MOKB presents... show with Dr. Dog in Indianapolis at Radio Radio. Per usual, they put on a great show and the new stuff from Fate sounded absolutely amazing live.

Here is a quick play-by-play of my sights and sounds... Started Day 1 off with a great set by Holy F*ck. They drew a very good crowd, but their stuff would have been better suited for early evening. They finished their set off with my personal favorite, Lovely Allen.

After the Holy F*ck set, we headed over to the myspace stage to check out Rogue Wave. They went through all of the favorites including the new hits Lake Michigan and Chicago x 12.

While the Rogue Wave set was good, it was pretty subdued, so I had the choices of The Go! Team or Yeasayer to bring the energy level up. Since I had seen Yeaseayer earlier this year, I went and checked out the always fantastic Go! Team.

Afterwards, we decided to camp out for a good spot to see Radiohead and checked out Gogol Bordello (mind-blowingly entertaining!!!) and Bloc Party. While I love Bloc Party, I think not having their regular bass player and the fact they pretty much became the opening act for Radiohead, prevented them from really putting their best foot forward. It just didn't feel like they rose to the occasion.

At the end of the night, the band the everyone is and has been talking about absolutely killed it. Radiohead hit all of the favorites from their older albums and plenty from In Rainbows. The sonic delight and the incredible light show made an incredible endcap to a pretty perfect Day One.
