Today the doctors and nursemaids picked up Woody Guthrie’s My Dusty Road - a Rounder Records released 4 disc, 54-song box set filled with dose after dose of magic medicine from the dustiest of the dust bowlers. A stockpile of antique treasures - collections of polished and unreleased tracks from a six-day 1940s session that would of had roses growing through the cracks after the black rollin' blizzards swept over the great American desert.

The definitive collection comes from bins of immaculate 78-rpm metal masters that were discovered in a Brooklyn basement. My Dusty Road captures the dust bowl raconteur at his peak. The ol' Folk-Okie sounds like he has never sounded before during these unreleased cuts and now well-known ballads.
