Boy George Guilty in Imprisonment Case

Boy George (real name George O'Dowd) has been found guilty in a London court of the false imprisonment of male escort.

The trial, which ran about a week, laid out the story of how O'Dowd had hired a male escort for a nude photo shoot. After the escort left, O'Dowd said that he suspected that something had been done to his computer. O'Dowd and a friend invited the escort back to the house where they chained him to a wall and beat him with a chain. The escort was able to escape by twisting the bolts from the wall.

The defense never disputed the basic facts of the case, but said that O'Dowd did not beat the man, going as far as to point out O'Dowds current weight and that he was hardly in shape to be able to do such things.

O'Dowd faces sentencing on January 16 when he could receive up to life in prison. Although it is not suspected that the sentence will be that harsh, the judge did warn O'Dowd that there would most likely be jail time.
