The Recording Academy has added 28 new recordings to the Grammy Hall of Fame, bringing the total number 826.

All of the titles will be an integral part of the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, which opens to the public on Saturday. One of the inductees, Let the Good Time Roll (originally by Louis Jordan and His Tympani Five ) will be part of a special performance by B.B. King and John Mayer during The Grammy Nomination Concert Live!! this Wednesday night on CBS.

"The GRAMMY Hall of Fame represents a proud tribute to the many important recordings that have enriched and even changed our lives and now they are featured in our GRAMMY Museum for all to experience and enjoy," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. "Our 2009 inductees span decades and genres — from classical, calypso and country to R&B, soundtracks, and rock and roll — and these masterpieces possess the qualities that make them everlasting representations of how the recording arts are such a vital part of our culture."

The Grammy Hall of Fame was created in 1973 to salute those recordings that were released prior to the 1958 start of the Grammy Awards. Since that time, the eligibility has been updated to include any recording that has been in release for at least 25 years.
