Our weekly recap of veteran artists on the current Australian music charts. Chart highlights:
- Phil Collins doubles back, moving from 9 to 3 on the Australian Albums chart, to take the top selling album by a veteran artist from Santana.
- The top debut by a veteran artist in Marcia Sings Tapestry by Marcia Hines. The singer is a native of Massachusetts who first moved to Australia in the early-70's, performing in Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 1974, she started recording as a solo artist and became the country's Queen of Pop during the middle part of the decade.
- Also debuting is the John Lennon collection Power to the People: The Hits. It begins at number 26.
- The last of the veteran artist debuts goes to Neil Young's Le Noise, which starts at 44.
