- Bon Jovi debuts its new album, The Circle, at number 4 on the Australian Album chart, giving them the top album by a veteran. New releases and the Foo Fighters Greatest Hits all push Michael Jackson's This is It down to number 5.
- The only other debut by a veteran artist is Rod Stewart's Soulbook at number 11.
- Not being based in Australia, we aren't aware of sales being held in the various outlets but we'll bet there was a special on Greatest Hits albums as compilations by Bruce Springsteen, ABBA, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Crowded House have all re-charted in the top 50.
