Rumor Mill: The Who Will Play the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Sports Illustrated's Hot Clicks blog is reporting that the Who will be the half-time performers for Super Bowl XLIV on February 7 in Miami.

Of course, this information is coming from "a source" and, when SI tried to get confirmation from the NFL, they were told "When we have something to announce, we'll announce it." This same situation occurred last year about this time when rumors of the Bruce Springsteen halftime show started floating around and they, of course, turned out to be true.

If the event occurs, it will be the Who's first show in the U.S. since their 2008 tour. Roger Daltrey has been on his Use It or Lose It Tour over the last few weeks, so hopefully his voice will be in good shape for the February show.
