- Bon Jovi shakes up the charts this week in Britain as their new album, The Circle, debuts at number 2. That equal the peak of four of their last five albums in this decade. They also drag along their Cross Roads compilation, which jumps 96 to 43 and the singles We Weren't Born to Follow, which debuts at 25, and older tracks Livin' on a Prayer (52) and Always (87).
- Sting's If On a Winter's Night... debuts at 15, beating out his last solo release (Songs from the Labyrinth: The Music of John Dowland) which peaked at 24.
- The Bee Gees new career compilation, Ultimate, starts at 19 while the Rod Stewart hits set, Some Guys Have All the Fun, returns to the chart at 35 and the Frankie Goes to Hollywood set, Frankie Says Greatest, premiers at 27.
- Also debuting this week are Slayer's World Painted Blood at 41 and a deluxe version of Paul Weller's self-titled album at 82.
- Journey also has a resurgence on the charts as the track Don't Stop Believin' moves 52 to 19 on the Singles chart while their Best of reenters the Rock Album chart at 34.
