George Jones is none too happy about the current status of country music. At least what he considers country.

While discussing new stars like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, Jones said "They had to use something that was established already, and that's traditional country music. So what they need to do really, I think, is find their own title, because they're definitely not traditional country music."

He also isn't a fan of rap music. "Rap? That's tacky. How can you call that music?"
Dolly Parton, Ernest Tubb, Charlie Daniels, Kid Rock and the owners of Tootsies Bar are being honored as the seventh class to be inducted on the Music City Walk of Fame. Their commemorative sidewalk markers will be unveiled this Sunday.

It has been announced that Steve Martin will co-host the 82nd Academy Awards with Alec Baldwin. The show airs March 9 on ABC.

Michael Jackson's This is It will easily be the number one album this coming week with sales of 373,000, making it the fifth best week of sales for any album in 2009.

Rod Stewart's Soulbook premiers at number 4 with sales of 84,000 while Sting's If On a Winter's Night starts at number 6 with 80,000 sold.
