Elton John Cancels More Shows Due to Illness

Elton John has canceled show out through November 10, affecting performances with Billy Joel in Seattle and Portland, due to an ongoing illness that appears to be a bit more serious than originally indicated.

The following was posted yesterday on the singer's official website:

The Elton John / Billy Joel Face 2 Face concerts originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, Saturday November 7 and Tuesday, November 10 have been postponed.

Promoter Live Nation, The KeyArena and The Rose Garden were informed by management that Elton has been advised by his doctor to postpone these performances due to a serious case of e-coli bacterial infection and influenza.

This will be the second time that these shows have been rescheduled. Billy Joel had to postpone back in the summer, also because of illness.

Word is that John has been at a private London hospital for the last few days but partner David Furnish says that "He's OK...He's fine."
