Mustaine Says Megadeth May Do Just One More Album, Springsteen to Play For Hall, more

Dave Mustaine has written on Megadeth's forum that Endgame may be the one of the last original releases for the band. Mustaine has had both hand and spine problems in the past and is unhappy with their U.S. label, Roadrunner Records.

He wrote, "The president of Roadrunner came out and said this was the last record but if we didn't re-sign with them for more records they were going to stop selling Endgame. I've always known there's another record owed. I'm a man of my word and I'm going to fulfill my contract - rest assured, though, that I'm not going to release a compilation record or a live record for my final record with Roadrunner."

Bruce Springsteen has said that he will be playing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary show tomorrow (Thursday) night at Madison Square Garden. There had been some question after the Tuesday night death of his cousin/assistant road manager.

Susan McCray at internet radio station KSAV.org will be broadcasting a rare two-part interview with singer/songwriter Jimmie Rodgers on November 10 and 17 at 9:30 PM ET. Rogers will talk about "his life, new projects and something he rarely discusses - his long recovery from life threatening injuries suffered from being severely beaten in 1967." Rodgers is best remembered for his string of hits in the 50's including Honeycomb, Kisses Sweeter Than Wine and Secretly.

Wednesday was declared Chip Taylor day in Yonkers, NY in honor of Taylor's new album which is named after the city (yes, Yonkers is a city and not a borough). Taylor is most famous for writing the songs Wild Thing and Angel of the Morning but has also become very active in Americana music.

Steve Martin has been added to the MerleFest lineup.

The opening night gross for the Michael Jackson movie This is It was $2.2 million. Variety projects that the Wednesday boxoffice will be about the same.
