The One Man Beatles, a full length documentary on Emitt Rhodes, will debut at the Rome International Film Festival on October 21 and 22. A posting on Rhodes' MySpace site said "It is in the running for best documentary in the festival. The film includes several songs which will be on the forthcoming CD performed live in the studio. English narration is currently being put together for the film's release here in the States."
Bon Jovi has been named NBC's Artist in Residence, which means that they will be seen on numerous NBC owned channels over the next two months. Country's Bill Anderson is worried he might of sunk Sugarland's career. The popular country duo have had a series of hits make it to the top ten but their latest, Anderson's Joey, has taken a rather leisurely trip up the charts.
Anderson told The Boot, "Sugarland has been so hot, and they've had several No. 1 records right in a row, but this record has been so different for them that it didn't move up the charts as quick as some of their others have. I don't want to be known as the writer that killed Sugarland's career!"
He may have a point. Joey peaked at 17 two weeks ago and is now out of the country top 30.
Vince Gill will be performing a song with the band Daughtry (led by American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry) at the CMA Awards on November 11.
Kiss can't seem to catch a break when it comes to getting to number one on any country's album chart. Their new Sonic Boom debuted at number 2 in the U.S., Norway and Sweden, number 3 in the Czech Republic, number 4 in Germany and number 6 in Austria.
