Van Halen to Tour in 2010, Jermaine Jackson's Concert Lineup Falling Apart, more

They probably weren't really ready to let the cat out of the bag, but Ticketmaster CEO Irvin Azoff announced today that Van Halen would be touring in 2010. It was mentioned during Azoff's Q&A period in his presentation. It's unknown whether the tour will be in support of Guitar Hero: Van Halen (due December 22), a new album or both.
It seem Jermaine Jackson may not have all those stars firmed up for the Michael Jackson Memorial in Vienna. Representatives for both Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown have said that they are not confirmed and, in the words of Brown's manager, "To say it was even being considered was a stretch."
On a brighter note, Janet Jackson will be opening Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards with a salute to her brother Michael Jackson.
Lucina Williams likes mixing business with pleasure. She will marry her fiance, Tom Overby, on stage before the encore of her September 18 show at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Overby is William's manager and produced the album Little Honey.
Elvis Costello received the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of his long career at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.
Lulu is about to become a first time grandmother as her son, Jordan Frieda (from her marriage to John Frieda), is expecting.
The 60-year-old singer said "It's something I'm really looking forward to. People tell me it's almost better than having your own kids because you don't feel such a great sense of responsibility. It certainly makes me think about how times are changing and how my world is changing."
Even though the show has low ratings last year, the Recording Academy has decided to do a second edition of The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! The December 2 special will included the announcement of the nominees in a number of categories along with performances from past Grammy winners.
