Track List Revealed for Daryl Hall & John Oates Box Set

Daryl Hall and John Oates' career spanning box set has gone through more date and title changes then any set in recent memory. The hardest thing to pin down has been the track list, something that obviously has been up in the air right until the last minute.

Amazon has finally posted the 74 tracks on the 4-CDs, now officially called Do What You Want, Be What You Are: The Music of Daryl Hall & John Oates. Release is set for October 6.

The set goes as far back as late-60's and two tracks from the Daryl Hall led group, The Temptones and one from John Oates' group, The Masters, both of which played the R&B circuit around Philadelphia. Also included is an early pre-Atlantic single, Perkiomen and a number of tracks from the Whole Oates album and Abandoned Luncheonette, which contains their first charting record, She's Gone (1974/#60 Pop; rereleased 1976/#7 Pop/#6 Adult Contemporary).

Of course all of the hits are here, mostly in their original forms (there are a couple of live versions of minor hits) plus 16 unreleased tracks which include five tracks from an October 1975 London show, miscellaneous tracks from other live shows through the years, one from the Daryl's House internet series and numerous unreleased tracks.
