Rolling Stone Readers Pick Favorite Supergroups

Posted 3 months ago
The Rolling Stone reader's poll over the past weekend asked people to name their favorite supergroups, those formed by members of other popular groups.

Coming out on top is the late-60's supergroup of Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, also known as Cream. Amazingly, that was only the first of three groups that included Eric Clapton in the top 15. Further down, at number 7, is Derek and the Dominoes and at 10 is Blind Faith.

Other veteran artists making the list includes the Traveling Wilburys, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Bad Company and the newly formed Chickenfoot.

Here are the top 15 as picked by the readers of Rolling Stone.
  1. Cream
  2. Velvet Revolver
  3. Audioslave
  4. Raconteurs
