Hit Parade Records Releases Two More CDs of Hard-to-Find Hits

Best ofs beget Greatest Hits beget Ultimate Collections beget Definitive Collections beget Ultimate Definitive 6-CD Career Spanning Box Sets. With all the compilations and recompilations of every artist's music that is in stores today, how could it be possible that you can't pick up just about every track that's ever charted.

Amazingly, there are still a lot of hits that are hard to find on CD or in digital form. Canada's Hit Parade Records (distributed in the U.S. by Eric Records) is looking to alleviate that situation with their Hard To Find Jukebox Classics series, currently concentrating on the music of the 50's.

On September 22, the company will be adding two new releases to the series which has seen five previous CDs, More Pop Gold 1958 and Fabulous Fifties Instrumentals and More. The first includes the CD debut of hits from Eydie Gorme, Tony Bennett, David Seville and the Beverly Sisters along with new stereo mixes of songs from the Teddy Bears and Perry Como and rarities from Billy Ward and the Dominoes, Toni Arden and more.

The second disc contains those instrumentals so often heard during the 50's but not well remembered by the oldies stations of today. Artists include Reg Owen, Les Baxter, Crazy Otto, Richard Hayman, Cyril Stapleton, David Carroll and many more.

Hit Parade Records concentrates on quality on these recordings, calling them audiophile quality. Previous volumes have covered Pop, Rhythm and Rock from 1956 to 1958.
