Spandau Ballet May Hook Up With Take That, Gouldman Supports Roy Wood, AC/DC Turn It Up Loud

Spandau Ballet may be doing a little work with current British favorites Take That.

Ballet's Tony Hadley has reportedly become friends with Gary Barlow of the (once) boy band over their weight and how it is perceived by the media and public. Hadley said "I'm hoping to start working with Gary after the Spandau shows and we've started talking about it. I love Gary, he's great."

Graham Gouldman of 10 cc is starting a campaign to get a star on Manchester's Walk of Fame for Roy Wood, a man he calls a "genius."

Who is Roy Wood? He started out as a member of the Move and was a founding member of the Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard, but it is his songwriting for which Gouldman has the greatest admiration. “Roy is a great bloke who also just happens to be a songwriting genius."

His songs include numerous entries in the Move catalog, a number of the early songs of ELO, California Man for Cheap Trick and the U.K. holiday classic I Wish It Could be Christmas.

AC/DC didn't make any friends in Munich, Germany on Friday. Their show brought in over 100 noise complaints from up to 12 miles away.
