Jackson London Residency in Jeopardy

Posted 7 months ago
AllGood Entertainment is planning on suing Michael Jackson in an effort to block his London residency starting in July.

According to the company, Frank DeLeo [Jackson's manager] signed a contract committing Jackson to perform a concert on July 3, 2010 at Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas with his brothers and sister Janet. The agreement stipulated that Jackson could not perform any other concerts until that time.

AllGood sent a cease and desist order to Jackson in March but have not gotten a reply. Patrick Allocco, controlling partner of the company, told Reuters "As of right now we've gotten zero cooperation from anyone, Frank DeLeo refuses to honor our agreement and that's why we're filing a lawsuit by week's end."

Jackson was scheduled to get a $30 million pay day for the show which would be a pay-per-view event. "Thirty million for one show is unheard of, that's why we're so frustrated. Frank DeLeo is standing in our way. AEG [promoters for the London shows] has been constantly frustrating our ability to get this show."
