Peggy Sue Gerron, friend of Buddy Holly and the inspiration for the hit Peggy Sue, is planning on opening a chain of restaurants dedicated to the late singer. Peggy Sue's Diners will feature never before seen photos and memorabilia of the late singer.

Gerron, who was the wife of Holly drummer Jerry Allison, is planning the first of her restaurants for Scarborough, England with hopes that it will be open for the September 7 anniversary of Holly's birthday.

"I am really excited about opening the diner. I have a lot of pictures of us in the 50s that I wanted to do something with, and I will be putting them all up on the walls. A lot of them have never been seen before. Also, all of the food will be right out of Texas, including a lot of Buddy's favourites such a fried okra, and all the furniture will all be shipped over from America."

Elvis Costello will appear on the season finale of NBC's 30 Rock along with Sheryl Crowe, Mary J. Blige and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. It airs at 9:30 EDT on May 14.
