Clapton/Winwood Live CD & DVD Coming This Spring

This spring will see the release of Clapton & Winwood: Live From Madison Square Garden, a 2-CD, 2-DVD or 2-CD/2-DVD set chronicling the February 2008 Madison Square Garden reunion shows of former Blind Faith bandmates Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood.

Their reunion, which played out over three nights, came on the heels of their appearance at the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago. The expanded show includes hits from both artist's solo careers plus the music of Blind Faith.

The DVD includes two documentaries, The Road to Madison Square Garden and Rambling on My Mind along with three tracks not shown on the main show DVD, Low Down, Kind Hearted Woman and Crossroads.

Eric Clapton's site currently has a limited edition 2-CD/2-DVD set up for preorder that also includes a numbered, custom-designed slip case, four exclusive photo cards, the official 2008 tour program, a Clapton/Winwood Madison Square Garden poster and a $10 credit at the Eric Clapton store.

One site is reporting a April 20 release in the U.K. and April 21 in the U.S.; however, most other sites are saying there is no official release date.
