Elvis' Gospel Music Being Collected in 4-CD Set

Sony Music has announced the March 10 availability of the new 4-CD collection from Elvis Presley, I Believe: The Gospel Masters. The release expands on the music collected in 2004's Ultimate Gospel which was just certified gold by the RIAA.

The new album offers the most comprehensive overview of Elvis' non-secular performances and provides testament to his musical excellence and contribution to the popularization of religious music. Discs one through three contain all of the tracks from Presley's albums Peace In The Valley, His Hand In Mine, How Great Thou Art, and He Touched Me. The fourth disc is additional religious performances from Presley's movies, TV specials and live concerts. The set also includes rare home recordings of Hide Thou Me, Show Me Thy Ways, O Lord, and Oh, How I Love Jesus.

Gordon Stoker, original member of the Jordinaires, said "I think I Believe is the perfect title for a collection of Elvis' religious music because, working with him almost 15 years, I know he believed every word in these songs. It was indeed an honor to know and work with him. We shall always treasure our memories."

All tracks have been remastered using the latest DSD technology.
