According to Art Garfunkel , he and Paul Simon will be going out on the road again, although a date and locations have not been set. He told the BBC news "Our plan to work together coming together but it doesn't go through England this time."
Tonight's Gerry Rafferty report finds him writing music in Italy. At least that's what the Scotland Evening Times and his solicitors say.
"Contrary to reports, Gerry is extremely well and has been living in Tuscany for the past six months. At his house there, which is just north of Florence, he continues to compose and record new songs and music.
"He would like to send a personal thank-you to all of his fans who have expressed their concern for his well-being and he hopes to release a new album of his most recent work in the summer."
Denise LaSalle was honored by the Mississippi State Legislature Wednesday for her lasting impact on R&B music.
LaSalle, 69, said "I can't hardly tell you how it makes me feel. I'm kind of choked up. When I left Mississippi, I left with tears in eyes. But I'm so proud of Mississippi. Mississippi is my banner."
Also in attendance was Dorothy Moore . LaSalle topped the R&B charts in 1971 with Trapped By a Thing Called Love and, as a songwriter, composed Barbra Mandrell 's Married But Not to Each Other and Z.Z. Hill 's Someone Else is Stepping In .
UFO have announced that their new album, The Visitor , will be released in late-May or early-June. According to frontman Phil Mogg, "All those who have been into UFO for a long time will find all our characteristic trademarks on The Visitor , and anybody new to the band will be impressed by our enthusiasm and dynamism.
"Without running down previous UFO lineups, it's been a long time since we had a team as strong as this one. Vinnie [Moore] contributes his youthful energy and amazing guitar technique, and in Andy's [Parker] return we've seen the reappearance of a musician who has always been very important to the band's original sound."

It may not be over yet for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina's Hard Rock Park. A group of investors have been given the go ahead to buy the bankrupt attraction and vow to have it open by Memorial Day.
One of the oldest blues festivals in the U.S., The San Francisco Blues Festival, has been canceled for 2009 and it is questionable when or if it will return. According to founder Tom Mazzolini, the costs have risen too high and sponsorships have dropped off. The festival started in 1973.
