Andreas Vollenweider live

[Live New Age Music Part 3] No list of great new age music is complete without an Andreas Vollenweider release, and on his long discography is also a superb live album. Andres Vollenweider And Friends: 25 Years Live is a 31 (!!!) track long release with recordings from the last three decades, from all over the world. Here are all my favorites, played a little different from the studio albums. I enjoy the fresh arrangement of Dancing with the Lion from 1989, with a jazzy organ and sax part (and even some vocals too!). Or the incredible First Piece , which has a fuller sound than the original. The sound quality is overall very good for a live recording, and I think that the songs with vocals (like Song of Islode ) sound even better live; hearing the response of the audience is always nice. I also like the cover design, where Vollenweider stands holding the harp with the red and yellow moving background. Is it a train in the background? It is illustrating that Vollenweider has traveled the world with his music. The album was released in August this year. I also liked Vollenweiders previous live album Live 1982-1994 , but the updated version is even better. It is a proof that harp music is live music. Available on Amazon and other music outlets.
