CMJ 2009: Ambulance LTD @ Mercury Lounge

At both the best of times, and the average of times, Ambulance LTD deal in impressive if not-wholly remarkable music. Tonight though, something was definitely amiss. Their sound strictly conforms to the pathway of inoffensive indie-rock and though it's pleasant on the ears, mildly impressive in musicianship and fine to witness on stage: there's just no energy to be seen in any of their facets.
