Generally, I am not a fan of cover songs. The remakes usually do not do the original song justice. It is kind of like the movie never being as good as the book. The original artist is able to convey the meaning and sound better than anyone else. However, there are some cover songs that give the original version a run for its money.

"Come Together" is a song that was the lead track off of the Beatles' album Abbey Road. It was mostly written by John Lennon and he sings the lead vocal. It was released in 1969 and is rated #202 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time .

Aerosmith recorded a cover version of "Come Together" in 1978. Aerosmith's version of the song appeared in the movie "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band", in addition to being on the soundtrack for the movie. The movie featured new versions of songs that were originally performed by the Beatles. Aerosmith included the cover on their greatest hits album released in 1980.

Now I am asking you: which version of the song do you like better? Please vote in the poll. Both versions are available to listen to in case you need a refresher. You can expand on which version you like better by leaving a comment as well. I am looking forward to seeing the results!
