Well, we made it. January is my least favorite month of the year and it's almost over! Moreover, February is off to a great start since I just discovered that The Weepies' new album drops in early 2010. So .... my male readers should probably proceed with caution. I'm not going to fib: The Weepies speak to the most she-ishy portion of my brain—the embarrassing part that has read Sylvia Plath's journal entries on Richard Sassoon COUNTLESS times (those words!), the part that always blots away tears while watching The Age of Innocence's delicate close, the part that holds a whales & clouds painting in higher esteem than any other possession, the part that loves it when he calls me "doll."

This is some sappy stuff, guys, but by god it's lovely.
