Paul Westerberg has released what is probably a final three songs after a flurry of unconventional releases this year.
The lastest, D.G.T., is a three songs set. The first track is an almost honky tonk rendition of the Christmas carol "Away In the Manger". The second is a solid cover of the traditional country song "Streets Of Laredo", which is also known as "The Cowboy's Lament". Finally, we get a Westerberg original, "D.G.T.". That song is a jangly, ramshackle roots number with a classicly catchy Westerberg chorus.
