Former Sleater-Kinney bassist and current NPR uber-blogger Carrie Brownstein has posted four previously unreleased tracks that she recorded in 2000. Brownstein recorded the songs with former Helium singer Mary Timony under the name The Spells.
All four songs are being streamed on Brownstein's Monitor Mix blog here .
Two song are being made available for free download for the next two weeks. You can get your MP3 of "Bat Vs. Bird" here , and "Antarctica" here .
