I don't often find myself clamoring for more past the token encore these days but then not many bands can turn a venue into a party quite like Cansei de Ser Sexy .

The release of Donkey earlier this year found the Brazilian group trading in the unrefined approach of 2006's self titled debut for a slightly more polished pop sound, but its celebratory essence remains the same and that sets the tone for the live show. Filled with the raw energy that characterized their earlier music the live show is vibrant.

The band gave equal time to both albums, splitting the songs almost evenly between the two but the show was singular in its directive to get people moving. The performance is propelled by lead singer Lovefoxx with her impromptu dance moves that she seemingly creates on the spot and punctuated by leaping into the crowd towards the end of the night. Ultimately the live show confirms that CSS should be the soundtrack to just about every party worth having.
