If there was ever a central hub to the ladies in grunge movement it has to be Tanya Donelly, who with her half-sister Kristin Hersh was part of Throwing Muses and was separately involved in both Belly *and!* the Breeders. Her most recent project was titled Dylan in the Movies.

But anyway, Throwing Muses, Belly and The Breeders...ahhhhhh!

I've probably written before about how Cannonball is one of my all-time fave songs. Everything about it: the simplicity of the song's structure, the guitar riff hanging in the air all alone, the screech and the... tube socks?  Haha. I loved how the women of that era could rock and be girly at the same time (Tanya in the bottom video)..:
