A week or so back I posted about Roseann Cash's new album The List in which she duets with numerous peeps. She was on Morning Edition this morning talking about "the List" which are songs she said her Pops used to sing and considered canon, or genealogical/roots songs any country singer worth their salt oughtta know. One of those songs, Sea of Heartbreak was originally done by Don Gibson and has been remade countless time including by Jimmy Buffett.
