The Bumbershoot Festival is taking place this coming weekend in Seattle. Several artists that have been profiled here will be there including Mayer Hawthorne, Keller Williams, Lenka, U.S.E. and uh ohs...Trucksaurus will be there? This can only mean one thing: dancing zombies.
One of the reasons there's such an overlap between the artists I write up and Bumbershoot is because I get a lot of tips from indie Seattle radio station KEXP and their blog written by one Ben Funkhouser, a former DJ there with another one of those fantastic job appropriate names like weatherman Dallas Raines or traffic reporter Amelia Earhart. Or professional drunkard Amy Winehouse, for that matter. Is his name real, I wonder?
Anyway, Funkhouser recommends the Parenthetical Girls who coincidentally will also be playing Bumbershoot. Video:
