Deftones Bassist Injury Update

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is on the road to recovery after being in a serious car crash in Norther California last Monday (November 3).
Cheng was taken to a hospital in "serious, but stable" condition and was in a coma.
We are now getting word that Cheng is getting better and is showing signs of recovery.
The bassist showed the first signs of improvement on Sunday (November 9) when "Chi was able to hear and respond to his father's request to move his lower lip."
The update on Cheng 's condition was posted on the Deftones blog , which also thanked "the three off duty EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) that stopped shortly after the accident and saved Chi 's life."
The family also said that "doctors continue to remain optimistic, and the energy at the hospital remains very positive."

that's a relief. i was concerned when i heard he was in a coma. glad to hear he's recovering.
