Pete Doherty Reveals New Babyshambles Album Details

Pete Doherty recently appeared on French radio station Inter to talk a little about his current projects including his band Babyshambles.
Doherty revealed that Babyshambles‘ guitarist Mik Whitnall is currently writing music for the band’s third album and follow-up to 2007’s ‘Shotter’s Nation‘.
The frontman said that once Whitnall is done with the music he (Doherty) will be writing the lyrics.
“Even as we speak, at this very moment in London somewhere, Mr Michael Whitnall – my erstwhile guitarist and songwriting partner in Babyshambles – is getting the demos together for our new album,” said the frontman.

“He’s got most of the tunes ready, I’ve just got to write the lyrics now,” he continued.
Doherty also said longtime producer Stephen Street would more than likely produce the new album.

Can't wait for new 'shambles stuff and the possibility of The Libertines getting back together.
Can't help but think he isn't taking the interview too seriously (can of Guinness in hand throughout) and possibly some of it was lost in translation to the French public.
