MUSIC NEWS - Singer-songwriter (and Oscar winner), Randy Newman , 64, has had to delay his upcoming European tour due to his severe back pain. He's posted a statement on his website that he had "severe limitations" caused by narrowed blood vessels in his neck and back. His first performance was due to take place in Berlin this Saturday, and said he "deeply regretted" having to postpone the 18-date tour. "I like it so much in Europe, and I've always been treated so well," he stated on his website message. "I'll get there as soon as I can." he added. The tour was schedule to promote his recent Nonesuch album, Harps and Angels . This is his first cd of new material in over nine years and has been critically acclaimed. The new, rescheduled dates for the 18 concerts will be announced when dates are established.
