MUSIC NEWS - Pop music and MySpace sensation, Colbie Caillat plans to add eight tunes to her Universal Republic debut cd, "CoCo ," and re-release the album on November 11 ! Among the new songs are live covers of Lauryn Hill's "Tell Him" and Bob Marley's "Turn Your Lights Down Low." (note, today is the anniversary of Marley's final live performance!). The album will also include a version of Dusty Springfield's "Brand New Me", Ms Caillat's contribution to a recent Summer Olympics compilation cd, "Somethin' Special," the Juanes-featuring "Hoy Me Voy," "Circles" and an acoustic version of her hit "Bubbly ". Her "CoCo" cd has been a big hit already, selling 1.78 million copies in the USA alone! Since it's to soon for her "Best Of ", this is a great way to release a "new-ish" package. Caillat continues to tour, and has a number of international appearances scheduled this month; two shows in Australia and four gigs in Brazil !
