NICK REYNOLDS of Kingston Trio Fame Dies at 75

Music News- In sad news, one of the members of the legendary Kingston Trio , the group that led the folk music revival in the 1950's and paved the way for artists as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul and Mary died on Wednesday. Nick Reynolds (at left in photo), who, as a college student started playing guitar, wearing broad-striped button-down shirts quickly helped propel the 1950s folk revival to the top of the pop music charts as a founding member of the Kingston Trio. He died in San Diego at 75. Reynolds had been hospitalized in recent weeks with acute respiratory disease and a variety of other illnesses, his son, Josh Reynolds, said today.
