Most of The FACES Reform in the UK, Full Reunion Expected

Posted 29 days ago

MUSIC NEWSThe Faces reformed last night (October 26) in the UK for a special charity gig at the Royal Albert Hall, without Rod Stewart participating, but Kenney Jones told the BBC that a full reunion is very likely.  On vocals,  Rod was replaced at the concert by guest performers that including Mick Hucknall (Simply Red), Mel C and Kiki Dee with the line-up of Ian McLagan, Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones of The Who, with Wood’s Rolling Stones bandmate Bill Wyman replacing the late Ronnie Lane on bass.

The charity show benefitted PRS for Music Benevolent Fund, which supports musicians and their families in need.

Though Rod Stewart continues to be busy with other priorities curremtly (and missed last night's show due to commitments in the USA for his new album), drummer Kenney Jones says he is ready for a full reunion, so it’s just a matter of time. "Rod wants to do it as well, but it’s just down to getting the schedules right for all of us to do it at the same time, because everyone’s doing different things at different times," he said.  This year or next is the big questions, Jones said "I’d like to think it’s entirely possible and I think it’s on the cards."  "I’d love to see it in 2010, if not the following year but time’s not on our side, the sooner we do it the better. Like I said it’s all subject to everyone’s busy schedules."

The 1970's rockers, The Faces, are best known for their songs Stay With Me, Ooh La La and Cindy Incidentally. They released four studio albums and toured regularly from 1970 to 1975, the year they split.
