MORRISSEY Collapses On Stage at UK Concert, Taken to Hospital

MUSIC NEWS - Morrissey's gig at the Oasis Leisure Center in Swindon, UK tonight (Saturday, October 24) was stopped after the former Smiths frontman collapsed on stage.   He opened his set with his classic song 'This Charming Man' and fell to the floor before he could begin his second. Audience members reported that he was notcibly in pain before the collapse.  He was removed from the venue by medical staff and was taken by ambulance to Great Western Hospital.

A spokesman said doctors have examined the singer and are talking to his management team.

Morrissey has been on a world tour and has previously cancelled a number of concerts this year due to an "unspecified illness".
