DEF LEPPARD Cancels North American Tour

MUSIC NEWS - Metal rockers Def Leppard have just announced the cancellation leg of the third leg of its 2009 North American Tour (with Cheap Trick) just one week before it starts. The band posted a message on its web site today saying the series of concerts, which were due to start in Reno, NV on October 22 at the Reno Events Center were cancelled “due to unforeseen personal matters.”
“We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans,” they said. “That’s why we’ve agonized over this decision. Even if just a single concert, we don’t take canceling shows lightly, but unfortunately life’s commitments need to be the priority.” Certainly a vague statement, with no details as to the reason for the cancellations. We hope all members are in good health!
MNN has so far been unable to get any additional information. In the meantime, if you're holding tickets to any of the 20+ gigs, refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.
