MARILLION to Release "Less is More"

      MUSIC NEWS -  Acclaimed as one of the English music scene's best kept secrets; prog rockers, Marillion were chart toppers during the eighties and are one of the few names in music to get more and more creative & fascinating album after album. The band constantly reinvents themselves while keeping the unique sound that made them loved by millions of fans all over the world.

Their new studio album is "Less Is More", out October 6 in the UK and released in cooperation with the band's own Intact label, and has the band performing hits from their past in an acoustic style.

Marillion has created an album of pop avant-garde experiment, depriving the songs of their original dress and reconstructing them with a new, minimal and intimate approach.   Says vocalist Steve Hogarth; "This album has exceeded our own expectations in every way - musically, spiritually and sonically so it's perfect that fate has decreed that we work with earMUSIC/Edel - a label we respect - and Max Vaccaro, someone who demonstrably understands us and is driven by a genuine enthusiasm for our music."

They also plan a run of acoustic concerts in the UK and Ireland.
